The Ninja-Certified Basic Training takes place on the northern edge of the castle ruins of Iwabitsu, an officially designated historical site, and is led by Matsukaze Iyoku, a descendant of the Agatsuma Sanada Ninja and Nindo 5-dan who represents ninja masters. The training program is over two hours long, including a break, and covers a classroom orientation, manners, walking, movement, posture and balance, cane martial arts, hand seals, shuriken throwing, and more. The training doesn't require heavy exercise, so people of all ages and genders can join. We recommend that parents do it with their children. It is held outdoors at the castle ruins when the weather is good. It is held at an indoor facility at the resort hotel Conifer Iwabitsu when the weather is bad. Participants who complete the training will be given a Nindo 3-dan certificate by the Japan Ninja Council.
